NORMAN — Oklahoma baseball coach Skip Johnson was in a unique position last year, working with football coach Lincoln Riley to manage the workload for outfielder/quarterback Kyler Murray. At Monday’s Sooners baseball media day, Johnson talked about what he would advise Murray to do as he’s deciding between a professional football or baseball career and what managing Murray’s workload was like last season.
Q: What would your advice be to Kyler?
A: "Kyler is a special athlete. I talked to him right after they played Alabama, and I told him the biggest thing you can do is do what you want to do.
