Oklahoma baseball pitcher Braden Carmichael is the Big 12 Pitcher of the Week in the final week for the 2023 weekly conference awards for baseball.
The fifth-year senior Sooner starter is having the best season of his career with a 7-0 record and a 3.25 ERA in 69.1 innings pitched. Carmichael has his best outing of the season this past weekend in a complete game 5-0 shutout victory over the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
The shutout over the Cowboys was the first complete game of his Oklahoma career and the first by a Sooner pitcher since March of 2020.
