It marked the Sooners’ sixth straight win in baseball and completed a 5-0 week for Oklahoma in the college-baseball-rich state of California. OU is now 11-9-1 a month into the 2016 season.
Junior shortstop Sheldon Neuse had seven of the Sooners combined 31 hits in the twin bill as Oklahoma rolled to a 10-7 win in game one and a 13-0 whitewash in the nightcap.
Neuse wasn’t the only Sooner with a hot hand in the twin-bill sweep. Junior first-baseman Austin O’Brien went 5 for 8 for the afternoon, including a home run in the second game and six runs batted in for the two games.
