Are you ready for Oklahoma vs. Alabama at the Cotton Bowl in a College Football Playoff semifinal? It looks like we're headed that way, writes Berry Tramel of The Oklahoman.
After Clemson, Alabama and Oklahoma were ranked 1-2-3 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings, the Sooners and Crimson Tide have a good chance to meet in the semifinals.
"The committee seems unlikely to change the Clemson/Alabama/OU order. Clemson plays a more distinguished opponent (10th-ranked North Carolina) than does Bama (18th-ranked Florida) in their respective conference championship games Saturday. Meanwhile, the Sooners are idle Saturday and can't move up on merit," Tramel writes.
