Oklahoma adds longtime Texas pitching coach to staff

Longtime Texas pitching coach Skip Johnson will take over the same role at Oklahoma, Sooners baseball coach Pete Hughes and athletic director Joe Castiglione announced Monday.

"With this addition to our program, we have one of the nation's most respected recruiters and top pitching minds in our game," Hughes said in a statement.

Johnson replaces Jamie Pinzino, who resigned last week after three years as an OU assistant under Hughes.

Johnson has coached the Longhorns for 10 seasons, beginning in the 2007 season under legendary coach Augie Garrido.
