Twice is nice for Oklahoma.
After landing a commitment from Louisiana defensive end Troy James earlier in the day, the Sooners earned a verbal pledge from four-star North Carolina athlete Ryan Jones.
Jones, who was previously committed to North Carolina, picked Oklahoma over offers from Clemson, Kentucky, Nebraska, South Carolina, Tennessee and others.
At 6-foot-2, 219 pounds, Jones is ranked as the No. 15 athlete in the country and No. 6 overall prospect in the state of North Carolina, according to 247Sports Composite.
Oklahoma now has 27 commits in its 2017 class.
