Lincoln Riley delivered the pitch to a former quarterback before the Oklahoma City Dodgers' home opener Friday and laughed as the ball bounced near the plate.
Riley, Oklahoma's offensive coordinator, threw out the ceremonial first pitch and just hoped he made it across the plate so the Sooners quarterbacks were unable to deliver some grief.
He can expect some in the near future.
“I was a little nervous,” Riley said. “I probably tried to overthrow it a little bit.”
Riley threw the pitch to Dodgers pitcher Zach Lee, who Riley recruited to play football when he was at Texas Tech.
