Drake Stoops is staying home.
The twin son of retired Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops announced Friday morning that he has committed to join the Sooners he grew up around next season.
Stoops, a Norman North receiver, announced his decision on Twitter in a post titled, “The Next Chapter.”
Stoops will be a preferred walk-on at OU.
He chose the Sooners over offers from Air Force, Arkansas State, Memphis, Ohio, Western Kentucky, Youngstown State and Iowa, his father’s alma mater.
Stoops was a two-time member of The Oklahoman’s All-State first team.
