The Washington Redskins have signed former Oklahoma star Adrian Peterson.
A source told ESPN's Adam Schefter that Peterson agreed to a one-year deal for the veterans minimum of $1.015 million.
The team announced the signing Monday after meeting with Peterson, a four-time All-Pro running back. Jamaal Charles and Orleans Darkwa also visited the Redskins the past two days after several injuries at the position, with the team opting to sign Peterson and De'Veon Smith.
Peterson, 33, joins his fourth team as he enters his 12th NFL season.
