Last year, 33 players who weren’t invited to the NFL Combine were drafted — largely due to pro-day performances and how they fared in the top-30 visits. Each team is permitted to bring in 30 players to its team headquarters for meetings and tours.
That number of players drafted who weren’t invited to the combine has been higher in other years. This season, it figures to be significantly less as teams figure to rely more on the data and interview sessions from the combine with those visits canceled.
