Aaron Ripkowski walked on to the Oklahoma football team four years ago.
Saturday, he was drafted by one of the NFL's elite franchises.
The Green Bay Packers selected the former OU fullback with the 206th overall pick in the sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
Ripkowski first established himself as a special teams contributor as a true freshman in 2011 and was awarded a scholarship near the end of his sophomore campaign. He started 17 games throughout his OU career, scoring five total touchdowns.
A bruising blocker, Ripkowski would seem to fit in well with the Packers, who have created a cult hero out of former undrafted free agent fullback John Kuhn.
