A new football league kicks off (wait, we can't use that cliche because there are no kickoffs in the American Alliance of Football) this weekend and here's what you need to know:
There are eight teams playing a 10-game schedule running through April 12-14 with a two-round playoff starting the following weekend.
Meet the teams (featuring uninspired names): Arizona Hotshots, Atlanta Legends, Birmingham Iron, Memphis Express, Orlando Apollos, Salt Lake Stallions, San Antonio Commanders and San Diego Fleet.
Meet the Oklahomans slated to play: former Oklahoma and Texas A&M quarterback Trevor Knight (Arizona), former Oklahoma State defensive back Jordan Sterns (Salt Lake) and former OU defensive backs Zack Sanchez and Jordan Thomas (both with San Antonio).
