ANAHEIM, Calif. — After Oklahoma's 80-68 win over Oregon that sent the Sooners to the Final Four but before the trophy presentations and the net-cutting ceremonies Saturday night, sophomore center Khadeem Lattin jumped a barrier on the court to embrace his mother.
At 6-foot-5, Monica Lamb is hard to miss on the court, and mother and son shared a long hug on the court as Khadeem kept repeating, “Mom, I'm going home.”
The Final Four will be played in Lattin's hometown of Houston. It's also the home of Lattin's grandfather, David Lattin, who led Texas Western to the NCAA title 50 years ago this month.
