While Oklahoma and Tulsa will be the most heavily followed teams in the NCAA Tournament in the state, there are plenty of other teams in the field with Oklahoma connections on the roster. Here’s a look at state connections among out-of-state teams in the field:
Arizona: Freshman Allonzo Trier played for the OKC Storm as an eighth- and ninth-grader and at Tulsa NOAH as a sophomore. Trier started 20 games, averaging 15.0 points and 3.3 rebounds.
Cal State Bakersfield: Roadrunners coach Rod Barnes was an assistant at Oklahoma under Jeff Capel in 2006-07.
