ANAHEIM, Calif. — On the plane heading home Saturday night, Oklahoma star Buddy Hield held an iPad close to his ear to hear the final seconds of the Kansas-Villanova game that would decide who the Sooners would play in the Final Four.
“Villanova,” Hield shouted out to the packed plane before going to take his seat.
An hour and a half earlier in the Honda Center locker room, plenty of Sooners had proclaimed their desire to get another shot at Kansas after the Jayhawks swept them this season.
Instead, it'll be the Wildcats getting another shot at Oklahoma.
