Now that this year's Major League Baseball Draft is in the books, the attention quickly turns toward the 2019 draft class.
MLB.com's initial mock draft for next year has a name familiar to Oklahoma baseball fans atop of it — Bobby Witt.
Bobby Witt Jr., a shortstop from Colleyville (Texas) Heritage High School, is projected to go to the Orioles with the No. 1 pick.
Witt's father, Bobby Sr., starred at Oklahoma before being the No. 3 pick in the 1985 draft and eventually winning 142 games over 16 big-league seasons.
