NORMAN — “Then it's Hi! Hi! Hey! The Army's on its way. Count off, the cadence loud and strong (TWO! THREE!). For where e'er we go, you, will always know, that the Army, goes rolling, along.”
Gene McIntyre was a man about stadium Saturday night. The Lawton Eisenhower graduate has spent 29 of the last 31 years at West Point, as a coach or administrator, and that's not counting his four years as a cadet. He's now a civilian associate athletic director at West Point and knows a thing or two about Army football.
So pride swelled in McIntyre as he went back and forth between the Army athletic director's box and the various seats where former players and old friends were watching a game for the ages on Owen Field.
