Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield and wide receiver Dede Westbrook combined to make three finalists lists for national awards Monday.
Mayfield, who finished fourth in Heisman Trophy voting a year ago, was named a finalist for both the Maxwell Award for college football's top player and the Davey O'Brien Award as the top quarterback.
Westbrook is one of three finalists for the Biletnikoff Award given to the best receiver in the sport—regardless of position.
He appears to be the favorite to become the first Sooner to capture the award.
The other two finalists for that award are Northwestern's Austin Carr and East Carolina's Zay Jones.
