STILLWATER — Mason Rudolph stood with OSU radio sideline reporter Robert Allen outside the antique locker room of Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama. That Sept. 8 night, Rudolph had passed Brandon Weeden's school record for passing yards.
Allen informed Rudolph of the milestone.
“Yeah, but there's some things the old man did that I haven't,” Rudolph said.
Old man is a term of endearment for Weeden, who at the age of 28 in 2011 quarterbacked the Cowboys to their only outright conference championship. And that's all that's keeping Rudolph from the designation of OSU's greatest quarterback ever.
