Marquise Brown wasn’t able to showcase his world-class speed at the NFL Combine or at Oklahoma’s Pro Day last month.
But now Brown will have the chance to showcase it in the NFL as a first-round draft pick after being taken No. 25 overall by the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday.
Brown was the first wide receiver picked and was the second Sooners player picked, after No. 1 overall pick Kyler Murray.
He’s the first Sooners wide receiver taken in the first round since 2005, when Mark Clayton was taken No. 22 overall by the Ravens.
Brown arrived at Oklahoma as a string-bean thin but blazingly fast junior college receiver.
