Mark Andrews named a semifinalist for nation’s top tight-end award

Andrews is one of eight semifinalists for the award, which is presented annually to the top tight end in college football. The junior tight end from Scottsdale, Arizona, has a career-high 43 receptions this season for 745 yards and four touchdowns. He is the Sooners’ leading receiver and the primary target for quarterback Baker Mayfield on possession downs. He leads the nation in receiving yards for a tight end as well as with 17.1 yards per reception this season.

For his career at Oklahoma, the 6-foot, 5-inch, 254-pound tight end has caught 93 passes for 1,552 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns.
