NORMAN — Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley was direct when asked Monday how he'll address the Horns Down hand signal with his team before the Red River Rivalry.
"Our players won't do it," Riley said.
The controversial gesture was inconsistently penalized in games against Texas last season.
Greg Burks, the Big 12 coordinator of officials, was asked in July if a player flashing Horns Down would be flagged.
"It depends," was the short response.
"I know people want us to be very definitive on that," Burks said, "but it's like almost any touchdown celebration. Is it directed at an opponent or is it just celebration with your teammates?
