NORMAN, Okla. — Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley kicked off the Sooners' 2019 spring practice campaign with a news-heavy press conference Wednesday afternoon.
Riley announced numerous injuries and position changes that will impact Oklahoma as its spring season gets underway Thursday.
Center Creed Humphrey, safeties Robert Barnes and Jordan Parker, pass rusher Jalen Redmond, cornerback Starrland Baldwin and walk-on running back Michael Anderson will all miss spring ball with injuries. Riley added that "none of these were unexpected" and everyone should be healthy for the season.
The headliner is Humphrey, Oklahoma's only returning offensive lineman. His absence will be felt during the spring as the Sooners attempt to piece together their O-line for the fall.
