NORMAN, Okla. -- It wasn’t supposed to be this easy for Kyler Murray.
Murray’s offense was supposed to take a step back from OU’s standard set in 2017, led by Baker Mayfield, Mark Andrews, Dimitri Flowers and a host of other players that are now playing professionally.
But through eight games, the Sooners’ offense has been noticeably better than what Mayfield’s squad did a year ago. And for the most part, it’s been easy.
That was most evident in the third quarter on Saturday, with the No. 8 Sooners (7-1, 4-1 Big 12) facing a third and three.
