NORMAN, Okla. -- The education of Kyler Murray continued this summer after the Oklahoma quarterback signed his $4.6 million contract with the Oakland A's.
"I've learned how taxes go now," Murray said Sunday as Oklahoma hosted its media day before preseason camp opens Aug. 2.
After finding a good accountant, the next step is making the most of his final season as a Sooner, as the perceived favorite to emerge from a preseason position competition with Austin Kendall.
Murray, the one-time Allen High School standout, figured to be in the spotlight if he won the starting job and replaced Baker Mayfield, anyway.
