NORMAN — To keep his players out of trouble, defensive backs coach Kerry Cooks has a pretty simple solution.
Learn your ABCs — or rather, his ABCs.
“You preach the ABCs,” he said at Wednesday's Sooner Appreciation Day scramble. “Avoid Bad Company. Make the decisions you've made your whole life that put you in this position. It's not rocket science, you know. If we see a guy that's put himself in a bad situation, learn from it. Don't go out and do the same thing.
“At the end of the day you put that name on the back of your jersey on the line, as well as all the peers that are counting on you to perform at a high level.
