Shortly after signing day, Oklahoma lost defensive line coach Diron Reynolds to Stanford, where he had previously been an assistant before coming to Norman. With Jerry Montgomery having left the year before, Bob Stoops is having to hire a new defensive line coach for the second year in a row.
This time, he could be targeting someone already in the Big 12 with ties to the Sooners.
According to The Oklahoman's Jason Kersey, Kansas defensive line coach Calvin Thibodeaux — a former All-Big 12 defensive end for the Sooners — has emerged as one of Stoops' top targets and is expected to interview with Stoops this week.
