Juggling a quarterback race and a .292 batting average, becoming the next Baker Mayfield isn't on Kyler Murray's to-do list

NORMAN, Okla. -- If not yet a man for all seasons, Kyler Murray was a man juggling two sports this season.

After trying to solidify his spot as Oklahoma's starting quarterback in Saturday's spring game, the former Allen High School standout had about four hours until he would face Texas in a key Big 12 baseball game.

Talking to the media in-between, Murray said the hardest aspect was "probably physical. Playing both sports, you're always on your feet. It's recovery, taking care of your body, that type of stuff. Mentally, I'm prepared for that."

Murray's work isn't done, not in baseball -- in which the Sooners hope to have a long NCAA run -- and not in the quarterback competition.
