Roy Williams won both the Nagurski and Thorpe awards in 2001 and was also a member of that 2000 national championship team. He ranks among the top 10 in Big 12 history in pass deflections with 44 and had one of the most memorable plays in Sooners history against Texas in 2001 when he leapt to knock the ball from Chris Simms’ hands and into the arms of teammate Teddy Lehman, who scored a touchdown to clinch the game.
Oklahoma State’s Leslie O’Neal is back on the ballot this season.
