A redshirt sophomore, Mixon finished second in the country in all-purpose yards. His strength and breakaway speed, combined with his ability to catch passes downfield out of the backfield made him one of the more dangerous offensive weapons in the college game.
Only Stanford’s Christian McCaffrey was better than Mixon’s 194.25 all-purpose yards per game last season.
Despite his obvious on the field talent, it was Mixon’s actions off the field that is believed to be the reason for his not being invited to participate in the NFL Scouting Combine for prospective newcomers to the NFL.
