Samaje Perine snatched the handoff, bolted left but found himself face-to-face with an Auburn defender. He stutter stepped but to no avail, so he stuck his right hand on the pursuer's helmet, extended his arm and put the suddenly defenseless defender on the ground.
Fifteen yards later, Perine was Oklahoma's career rushing leader.
His reaction?
He flipped the football back to the official and trotted back toward the huddle. If not for Baker Mayfield sprinting across the Superdome turf and wrapping him in a bear hug, Perine would've just gone on about his business.
It was perfectly Perine.
