Two batters later, it was Eliyah Flores’ turn to hit a home run. And Raylee Pogue followed her with a solo shot of her own. OU was having its own home run derby in the fourth inning of OU’s game against Abilene Christian.
The Sooners’ bats were active in both of their games Friday. OU won its home opener against Northwestern 8-3 and followed that with a 4-2 win over Abilene Christian.
A young team, OU still has work to do to get to where it needs to be, but the power and talent are present — that was shown in the five home runs hit over the two games.
