Whether deserved or not, among the superstitous, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has developed a reputation as a sports jinx.
And a tweet from April is putting that reputation on the line again Saturday in the Red River Showdown.
He quoted a Malik Jefferson tweet about the time he met Abbott on the field in last year's rivalry game. In it, the governor said "Can't will till next saeson when Texas beats OU again."
Last year, Abbott tweeted during the seventh inning of an Astros AL Division Series game, with the Astros up 6-2, his congratulations on advancing to the ALCS.
