Iowa State quarterback Kyle Kempt has a knee injury (MCL) and might not play against OU on Saturday. But that's much better news than what Cyclone coach Matt Campbell feared Saturday, after Kempt was injured against Iowa.
“Right now, it looks more day to day than it did long term,” Campbell said Monday on the Big 12 coaches teleconference. “So we're all deep sigh of relief here. His availability for this week is up in question, but maybe a lot better than we thought what the outcome was going to be on Saturday.”
The Cyclones lost 13-3 at Iowa on Saturday.
