Iowa State starting RB and leading rusher Mike Warren won't play Thursday night against the Sooners, according to his mother. He was not in pads or warming up with the team pregame.
An Iowa State spokesman could not confirm Warren's status for Thursday's game, however.
The sophomore was injured midway through the fourth quarter of Iowa State's loss to Kansas State last week. He was assisted off the field and didn't return to the game.
Warren, a product of Lawton (Okla.) High School, is the Cyclones' leading rusher this season with 530 yards and 3 touchdowns.
