The Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame’s quarterly luncheon, presenting the newest induction class, always is a fun event. And Thursday was the biggest quarterly-luncheon crowd in memory. Hub Reed and the Ryan brothers were the stars of the show.
The class includes OU women’s basketball coach Sherri Coale, former Oklahoma City University all-American basketball player Hub Reed, civic leader Lee Allan Smith, long-time wrestling coach and current Central Oklahoma athletic director Eddie Griffin, former OU basketball star Stacey King and two posthumous selections – long-time OSU wrestling coach Tommy Chesbro and long-time NFL coach Buddy Ryan. Of the living, all but King was present Tuesday.
