Joe Mixon didn't necessarily move up the Cowboys' draft board this past weekend. It's possible he's not even on it. But that doesn't mean the club won't benefit from the settlement of a civil suit Friday between Mixon and the woman he punched in the face.
Mixon is the Oklahoma running back who was suspended for the entire 2014 season following an incident in which he hit Amelia Molitor, breaking bones in her face. He reached a plea and avoided jail time back then but, as a player eligible for this week's NFL draft, Mixon became the most controversial figure in this draft following the release of the video in December.
