Just like last year, Chickasha pitcher Kelsi Gore grabbed Lynnsie Elam's hand Saturday and told her the championship game was going to come down to her.
Gore was spot on again as Elam delivered the game-winning hit for a second straight year.
This time it was a line-drive to right field for a walk-off single in No. 1 Chickasha's 4-3 comeback win over No. 4 Tecumseh to win the Class 4A state championship at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium.
“They were obviously thinking it,” Elam said about her teammates. “But to me I was just thinking about the next pitch coming.
