Cory Brandon is in what he calls a deep, dark place.
He doesn't hunt or fish much anymore. Even sold his rifles, and outside is where he once loved to be. When old friends call, he doesn't feel like talking. Brandon, who lives in Arlington, Texas, rarely goes to visit his mother, 71 miles south down in Corsicana. Brandon admits he's developed a short fuse.
“I feel alone,” Brandon said. “My wife thinks I'm just crazy. I don't know how much longer she's going to stay around, tell you the truth.”
The 30-year-old Brandon blames football and a concussion suffered in August 2009.
