ANAHEIM, California - Nick Chubb celebrated his 22nd birthday Wednesday at Disneyland's California Adventure.
Well, celebrated is the wrong word. Chubb's Georgia teammates talked him into riding Guardians of the Galaxy, Disney's new thrill ride that features a variety of quick descents and ascents. Think Elevators Gone Wild.
“Dropped straight down,” Chubb said without emotion. “Kind of take your breath away. I just didn't like going straight down.”
Football heroes (Super Bowl MVPs) for three decades have been declaring “I'm going to Disneyland.” Chubb might as well have said that last December, when before the Bulldogs' Liberty Bowl game against TCU, he declared he was returning for his senior season.
