Oklahoma freshman running back Rodney Anderson suffered a fractured leg in the Tennessee game and will be out for the rest of the season, according to a report by Joey Helmer of 247Sports.
The injury occurred late in the second quarter of Oklahoma’s game on Saturday at Tennessee while Anderson was covering a kickoff to the Volunteers as a member of the Oklahoma kick-return unit. The game was stopped temporarily while members of the OU medical staff attended to the injured Anderson on the field.
The first-year Sooner player was fitted with an air cast and taken off the field on an automotive cart.
