NORMAN, Okla. -- Bolting for the NFL draft enticed Oklahoma junior Charles Walker.
He has a daughter to think about and takes advantage of every opportunity to see her when he can on the weekend or call her on Facetime.
Walker posted 36 tackles and six sacks as a redshirt sophomore, but concussion symptoms prevented him from playing in the 2015 Orange Bowl against Clemson.
The former South Garland defensive tackle ultimately decided the injury was a sign to return.
"The injury felt like God stopped me in my tracks," Walker said. "I really toned out school to focus more on football, and that's the reason why I'm here, so I guess the good man told me I'll take this away from you or you'll find something else to help you if something goes wrong.
