NORMAN — Former OU running back Roy Finch was charged Wednesday with felony domestic assault and battery "resulting in great bodily harm," according to the Oklahoma State Courts Network.
The incident occurred Tuesday, and also resulted in Finch being charged with preventing or interrupting an emergency telephone call.
The day of the incident, an application for a victim's protective order was filed against Finch in Cleveland County District Court. A hearing on that order is scheduled for June 29.
Finch was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance in Lincoln County in 2018. In April of that year, he was charged with assault and battery on a police officer and a dashcam video of that incident was released to the media.
