Former OU running back Roy Finch arrested in Edmond

Former University of Oklahoma running back Roy Finch was arrested Sunday in Edmond on charges of drug possession and assaulting a police officer.

Edmond police were called around 6:30 a.m. Sunday after a caller said a car had been parked and running for more than an hour in an apartment complex.

Officers found Finch in the vehicle, allegedly smelling of marijuana.

The police report says that when officers tried to handcuff Finch, he swung at one of the officers and took off through the complex after the altercation.
