College football is the best soap opera going.
The latest plot twist -- a Stoops wearing Texas burnt orange.
Former Oklahoma defensive coordinator Mike Stoops is expected to join Steve Sarkisian's staff at Texas as the linebackers coach, per a report from Matt Zenitz of al.com.
Stoops, who has worked as an analyst for Alabama the past two seasons, served two stints coaching the Sooners before getting fired after a 48-45 loss to the Longhorns in 2018.
He joined his brother Bob Stoops' first coaching staff at OU in 1999 and helped the Sooners win the national title in the 2000 season.
