Former Oklahoma standout Jordan Evans emerging as a solid contributor for Bengals

Jordan Evans was determined to get better this past offseason.

The former Norman North and Oklahoma standout showed flashes of being a capable NFL player as a rookie, making four starts for an injury-ravaged Cincinnati Bengals' linebacker unit. But Evans knew he needed to get stronger so he could handle the physicality of the league.

So, he returned to his hometown of Norman and followed a training program under the guidance of Bennie Wylie, OU's director of sports performance, and strength coach Mahala Wiggins.

“I wanted to get better,” Evans said in a phone interview with The Oklahoman.
