Former Oklahoma linebacker Eric Striker has been hired by the university as a graduate assistant in the office of Student Life, director Quy Nguyen wrote in an email to the OU Daily.
Striker will work with "multiple communities" and student organizations, Nguyen said in the email. Striker emerged as the football team's most outspoken member during the SAE scandal in 2015, when two students were expelled after a video surfaced of fraternity members participating in a racist chant.
"Eric has shown his willingness to speak up for marginalized communities while working alongside students from all walks of life," Nguyen said in his email to The Daily.
