Championship football games are getting better.
Remember, if you’re of a certain age, when the Super Bowl was the Super Bore. Of the first 15 Super Bowls, only three had any kind of late drama. Heck, of the first 31 Super Bowls, only six had any kind of late drama.

But college football championship games suffered from the same affliction.
College football has staged 35 title games – some by accident, of course, before the organized playoff, but a title game nevertheless – and few of the early games were memorable.
