NORMAN — Lee Morris Jr. admits he and his wife, Liz, were a bit concerned when their son, also named Lee, told them what he'd planned for college.
Despite holding scholarship offers from SMU, North Texas and New Mexico State, the younger Morris decided he'd follow in his father's footsteps and instead walk on at Oklahoma.
“It's my legacy, really,” Morris said. “I was born a Sooner. It's in my DNA. I grew up watching Adrian (Peterson), Jason White, Sam Bradford, Ryan Broyles — all the great receivers that came through here and the coaching staff they have here.
