There weren't very many shining moments for the Oklahoma offense last season, but there were a couple. Majority of them had something to do with either Samaje Perine or Sterling Shepard. The running back and wide receiver duo had excellent seasons last year, despite neither of them starting all 12 games. Both players are set to have another big year, which is why Shepard and Perine were both named to the preseason Maxwell Award watch list.
Perine, entering his sophomore season, broke the NCAA rushing record last season with 427 yards in one game against Kansas. It was one of the most dominating performances by any player ever in a collegiate football game.
